Pedro Guiraud nació en 1979 en Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Comenzó sus estudios musicales en Buenos Aires alternando flauta dulce, percusión, guitarra y canto.
A partir de 1997 estudió flauta traversa en Buenos Aires (Conservatorios J. J. Castro y Manuel de Falla) y en Madrid (conservatorio Teresa Berganza). Paralelamente estudió composición en dichas instituciones y actuación en la Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático.
Desde entonces, su búsqueda en la música, el teatro y la literatura lo mueven a buscar un espacio en donde estas artes se combinan y enriquecen mutuamente.
En 2007 se traslada a Basilea, Suiza, donde realiza estudios intensivos de Antroposofía en el Goetheanum de Dornach, y seminarios de dirección coral y orquestal, que combina con sus actividades y proyectos musicales, interpretando o dirigiendo la mayoría de sus obras.
Actualmente trabaja como compositor, flautista, director y docente.

Geboren 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentinien.
Sein musikalisches Studium begann mit Blockföte, Schlagzeug, Gesang und Gitarre.
Von 1997 bis 2006 Musikstudium mit Schwerpunkt Querflöte in Musikhochschulen J. J. Castro und Manuel de Falla, Bs. As. und Komposition und in Konservatorium Teresa Berganza, Madrid.
Parallel dazu hat er Komposition studiert, so wie Schauspiel, in Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático, Bs. As.
Sein Interesse an der Verbindung von Musik, Theater und Literatur, sowie eine starke Beziehung zur Anthroposophie haben ihn seit Jahren beschäftigt.
Er hat als Flötist in verschiedene Ensembles gespielt, in Bs. As., Madrid, Basel, Den Haag, u.a.
Im 2007 zieht er nach Basel um, und studiert Anthroposophie am dornacher Goetheanum. Später Dirigier-Seminaren für Orchester und Chor in Basel und Luzern.
Zurzeit arbeitet er als freischaffender Komponist, Flötist, Dirigent und Dozent.

His musical studies in Buenos Aires, started with recorder flute, percussion, gitarr and singing.
From 1997 to 2006 studied travers flute and composition at Conservatories J. J. Castro and Manuel de Falla, and later in Madrid, Spain (Teresa Berganza)
In the same period studies Composition in these institutions as well as acting, at the Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático, Bs. As.
Since then, his interest and research in music, literature and theater, are moving him to find spaces where the different arts combine and support each other.
As flutist he performed by different ensembles in Buenos Aires, Madrid, Basel, Den Haag and others.
In 2007 he moves to Basel, Switzerland, where he studies Antroposophie at the Goetheanum, in Dornach, later also conducting curses for orchestra and choir, combining his musical activities and projects, as interpreter, composer, teacher as well as conductor of most of his works.
